The apartment is located in the heart of historic Montmartre, the highest point in Paris.  Within a five-minute stroll you’ll find the Sacré Coeur, the last remaining windmills and the only vineyard in Paris, the Bateau Lavoir, the Moulin Rouge...

It’s a 20 minute walk from the Louvre or 30 minutes from Notre Dame, for those who enjoy walking.

There’s a pharmacie on the corner and the small grocery store you saw in Amélie Poulain around the corner from that.  Just one block down is the busy rue des Abbesses, where you’ll find shops selling all the goods you need:  bread and pastry, fruit and vegetables, wine and cheese, meat, fish, flowers and much more.

The nearest metro stop is Abbesses, a direct line to Place de la Concorde, Orsay Museum and the Opéra-Madeleine department store area. Pigalle station nearby is direct to the Arc de Triomphe.

Bus 30 takes you to Trocadéro and the Eiffel Tower beyond. Bus 67 crosses town north to south, passing the Louvre, Notre Dame and the Ile St. Louis.

For those who find that last climb to the apartment daunting, there is a little Montmartrobus (specially designed to navigate these narrow, winding streets) and it runs from Pigalle every 15 minutes.
